Auspicious 165th Birthday of Holy Mother Sri Sharada Devi on 09.12.2017

The Auspicious 165th Jayanti of Holy Mother Sri Sharada Devi was celebrated at the Ashrama with due solemnity. Special Worship, Havan, Sahasranama Parayana, Bhajans, Sankeertana, Discourse on the life and message of Holy Mother, Prasad Distribution, Narayana Seva (distribution of food and clothes to the poor) were part of the programme. More than 450 devotees, friends and admirers participated in the program.

150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita 28.10.2017

150th Birth Anniversary Sister Nivedita was celebrated at Ramakrishna Mission Tirupati on Saturday, 28th October, 2017.  In this connection a Symposium was organised on the topic “Bharateeya Nivedita”. 

Sri N. Satyanarayana Raju, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tirupati, said that the contribution of Sister Nivedita towards Indian Freedom Movement, Arts, Culture, Womens education were immense, and nobody loved our country and countrymen as she did.  Therefore, our younger generation must learn and imbibe patriotism from Sister Nivedita.  Andhra Bank Assistant General Manager Sri Krishna Mohan and well-known physician Dr. Leela, participated as guests of honour.

250 students from 10 colleges under Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, attended the programme.  170 students submitted essays, 26 students participated in the Symposium and 8 prizes were distributed.

Symposium on Bharatiya Nivedita on 28.10.2017


An Essay Writing Contest and Symposium on "Bharatiya Nivedita" for Inter, Degree and Post Graduate students will be conducted at the Ashrama on Sunday, 28.10.2017 in connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita.

2nd Anniversary – A Report
The 2nd Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Tirupati, was celebrated in a meaningful way from 5th to 8th August 2017.
There was a Teachers Convention on Saturday, 5th August, from 9 am to 1.30 pm.  In the evening, the artists of TT Devasthanams Annamacharya Project sang devotional songs. 
On Monday, the 6th August, there was a retreat for devotees, from 9 am to 1 pm, consisting of Prayers, Bhajans, discourses, Sri Ramakrishna Astottaranama Archana etc. In the evening, there was a public meeting.  Reading of Annual Report and discourses were part of the meeting. 
On Monday, 7th there was a “Youth Convention for College Students (Girls)” from 9 am to 1 pm and on Tuesday, 8th August, there was a "Youth Convention for College Students (Boys)". Prayers, songs, speeches and interaction were part of the programme.

Eminent speakers, Swamijis and professionals participated as resource persons.    Devotees, admirers, Teachers and college students participated in the programme.  There was Lunch Prasad on all four days and useful literatures were distributed freely to all the delegates and devotees.
